Photochromic lenses react to UV radiation, not how bright the sun looks.
They can darken on cloudy days with high UV but stay clear behind car windows that block UV rays.
UV levels change throughout the day and year — they’re strongest between 10am and 3pm, especially in summer. The lenses require a UV index of 3 or higher to initiate a transition. In winter or early morning, even bright sunlight might not trigger much tint. If you require a full dark tint then these lenses may not be suitable. Photochromic lenses are not intended to be a direct replacement for sunglasses.

Each product comes with care instructions. Generally, it's recommended to machine wash cold and hang dry. Most of our products have quick drying properties so machine drying isn’t necessary!
